Adoption and Foster Programs

Blue Rose Ranch is dedicated to the rescue, training, and care of horses. We have a variety of programs to provide care and opportunity for our horses to have a second chance for a life and home.

Blue Rose Ranch Adoption Program  Blue Rose Ranch trains and rehabilitates horses to the end that they can be adopted by qualified persons who have qualified facilities and who have gone through our natural horse ranching program.Horses and riders are assessed and matched by our staff, and an adoption fee is required.We keep track of our adopted families to ensure that both horses and their owners are happy and cared for.

Foster/Adoption Program

Occasionally someone visits our Ranch and falls in love with one of our horses, but they live far from the Ranch and do not have facilities to keep a horse. Our Foster/Adoption Program is a wonderful way for them to show their love for the horse and support for our organization.People agree to adopt or "foster" the horse, taking over the financial obligations required to care for the horse, but the horse stays at the Ranch where we provide the care.This frees up funds for Blue Rose Ranch to rescue other horses. Some people foster a horse until they are able to take the horse to a facility closer to home.Others are happy to foster a horse until it is adopted and then take on foster care of another horse.

Sanctuary Program Sanctuary horses have been loved and cared for but can no longer stay where they are.These horses are usually older, no longer rideable and are often companion horses.They are our senior horse citizens.They usually arrive due to a situation like catastrophic illness in a family, inability of the owner to physically care for the horse, divorce, business failure, foreclosure on the horses' home, etc. Blue Rose Ranch will care for the horse for the rest of its natural life or until its merciful death, should it not be adopted or fostered.
